The India Meteorological Department predicts heavy rainfall in central India, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and coastal Karnataka over the next five days due to the active monsoon trough, which is south of its normal position in lower tropospheric levels.
