On Tuesday, 10 coaches of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. The cause of the accident is not yet known & investigation is ongoing.

A truck container after losing control rammed into 17 cars injuring 15 people travelling in separate cars on Mumbai-Nashik highway. The victims were then transferred to different local hospitals in the area.

The State Emergency Operation Centre of Himachal Pradesh said Moderate rain continued leading to the cause of closure of 42 roads including 18 roads in Shimla, 17 in Mandi, three in Kangra and two each in Kinnaur and Kullu districts were closed.And 121 transformers and 48 water supply schemes were also disrupted. Nadaun received 34.5 mm rainfall in a 24-hour period, followed by Wangtoo (32.8 mm), Aghar (21.4 mm), Bhoranj (16 mm), Kasauli (15 mm), Nahan (13 mm), Kothi (12.6 mm), Jogindernagar (10 mm), Kheri and Bharmaur (8 mm each) and Shimla (4.4 mm). The Met office in Shimla has issued a 'yellow' warning for heavy rain, thunderstorms and lightning at isolated places on Thursday and Friday and predicted a wet spell till July 15. It also cautioned of damage to plantation, horticulture and standing crops, partial damage to vulnerable structures, minor damage to kutcha houses and huts due to strong winds and rain, disruption in traffic and waterlogging in low-lying areas.

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has completed the construction of three bridges over the Ghazipur drain at the Anand Vihar RRTS station. The officials have revealed that Anand Vihar RRTS station is now connected to the Anand Vihar Metro station, serving direct access to multiple transport modes to the passengers. The newly constructed bridges over the Ghazipur Drain will connect the station to the main road. The construction of the three essential bridges for entry into the station has been completed, said the officials of NCRTC. The Anand Vihar RRTS station connects to the Blue and Pink lines of Anand Vihar Metro Station at the concourse level. For easy transit, escalators and lifts have been installed by NCRTC.

A Multi-utility vehicle (MUV) collided with a tree in the wee hours of Wednesday in Narmadapuram district of Madhya Pradesh Five people in their twenties were killed and six others injured , a police official said The victims were returning to Pipariya town in the district after attending a marriage function in Sadia village when the accident occured near Pachlavara village. The deceased were identified as Sovit Rajput (20), Aman Malviya (21), Pradumya Agrawal (22), Mayank Chourasia (22) and Shreyansh Jain (23), Pipariya police station's Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Ganesh Rai said.

A double-decker sleeper bus hit a milk tanker on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway on Wednesday during which eighteen people died and 19 were injured, The accident took place around 5 am near Jojikot village in Behta Mujhawar police station area. District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi said prima facie the bus, which was on its way to Delhi from Motihari in Bihar, was speeding and hit the milk tanker from behind, a probe has been launched into the matter, he said. Bangarmau Circle Officer (CO) Arvind Kumar said due to the impact of the collision, both the bus and milk tanker overturned. Drivers of the two vehicles were among the dead. He said the injured were rushed to a hospital and their condition was stated to be stable.

In view of the heavy rainfall prediction in Uttarakhand, the Chardham yatra was suspended for the safety of pilgrims. Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar said, the yatra has been postponed until further notice.

Heavy rainfall and low visibility disrupted flight operations at Mumbai airport, causing at least 50 flights to be cancelled or diverted to other locations. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) issued an advisory for passengers, directing them to check their flight status and deploy personnel to support them.

2 pilgrims were washed away and about 40 were stranded in an unfortunate incident when a temporary bridge collapsed due to a sudden increase in water flow in a river at Devgad in Uttarakhand 8-9 km ahead of Gangotri on the Gomukh footpath on Friday. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team arrived at the location and assisted the stranded pilgrims in safely crossing the river after receiving the alert about the mishap. 16 pilgrims have been rescued, and efforts to save the remaining individuals are ongoing. On Thursday, the SDRF rescued 10 youths who were marooned on an island close to Robbers Cave in Dehradun.
