A24-year-old man impersonating a senior citizen bound for Canada was detained by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. The passenger, identified as Guru Sewak Singh, was intercepted on Tuesday evening at Terminal-3. According to a senior CISF officer, Singh had dyed his hair and beard white and donned spectacles to appear significantly older. He presented a passport under the name Rashvindar Singh Sahota, which claimed he was 67. CISF personnel became suspicious due to discrepancies between Singh's appearance and the age stated on his passport. "The man’s appearance, voice, and skin texture seemed significantly younger than the details provided in the passport. Closer observation revealed that he had dyed his hair and beard white and was wearing glasses to appear older," said the officer. The revelation came after CISF officers found a photo of a passport bearing his real name on his mobile phone. Singh, who intended to board an Air Canada flight out of Delhi, was immediately handed over to the Delhi Police for further interrogation where he confessed. For forging his passport and impersonation, the passenger was handed over to Delhi Police for legal action.

According to a New York Times report, Heather Wells, who was traveling first class from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to Charlotte Douglas International Airport on July 7, 2021, became agitated about an hour into the flight after consuming alcohol and insisted she "wanted out" of the plane, the report said quoting a lawsuit filed on June 3 in the US district court for the Western District of Texas. The unruly passenger then began running toward the rear of the plane, dropping to her knees and "talking incoherently to passengers, before crawling back toward the main cabin. When a flight attendant intervened, she "became verbally aggressive, threatening to hurt him if he didn’t move, and then pushed him". She then rushed to the front of the plane and attempted to grab the "cabin door while screaming and yelling profanities". Two flight attendants and a passenger managed to restrain Wells, but not before she struck one of the attendants multiple times in the head. They used duct tape and flex cuffs to secure her to a seat, though she continued kicking, spitting, and trying to bite and head butt. She has been fined $81,950 for unruly behavior.

Police trying to stop migrants leaving French beaches for Britain's shores used tougher tactics yesterday, including firing tear gas and slashing a crowded dinghy in the sea. But the new aggression seen by a Daily Mail reporter failed to deter yet more boatloads of migrants crossing the Channel. One dinghy capsized in the middle of the busy shipping route yesterday morning with about 80 people aboard, including at least three children. A six-month-old baby was reported to have been among those who went into the water, but no serious injuries were reported. In the Mail yesterday, we reported how French police officers looked on as a migrant 'taxi boat' collected passengers from Gravelines beach and headed for Dover. A police commander said they had been forbidden from intervening on safety grounds if migrants were even in ankle-deep waters. But on the same beach yesterday morning, a different police team fired tear-gas canisters at a migrant boat, which had arrived to collect additional passengers.
