Navdanya has led the way in conserving, utilizing, and restoring biodiversity for forty years. 120 different varieties of trees have been planted and protected at the Navdanya Biodiversity Conservation farm.
Every year, it cultivates 1000 different types of food crops in its living seed bank. It prepares to transplant its 750 types of rice and harvest nine species of mangoes (Langra, Dussehri, Chausa, Gulab Jamun, Lal Pari, Totapari, Fazil, Kalmi, Achari, and Kisam) as the monsoon approaches.
