48-year-old P Chandrashekaran was found dead at his residence in Shivamogga on Sunday. He was working at the corporation’s office in Bengaluru as a superintendent attached to the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation. He left a suicide note that has put the state’s Congress government in a spot. According to sources, he has written in the note about the alleged misuse of large amounts of funds in the corporation and also held some senior officers responsible for his death. The deceased officer has accused his seniors of forcing him to open a parallel bank account to divert money from the corporation’s primary account.
“He has named three officers in the death note. The name of a lady officer in Union Bank, an officer in the accounts section in the corporation, and Padmanabha. We want justice. He was an honest man. He has given full details about the amounts and account numbers in the death note,” said Kavitha, Chandrashekaran’s wife.
