Congress has made preparations for the upcoming elections by appointing in-charges for all the 36 seats in Mumbai. The MVA alliance (Congress, Shiv Sena UBT and NCP) is expected to contest the elections together. Elections are possible in October. In 2019, Shiv Sena and NCP won 56 and 54 seats, while Congress won 44 seats.
